Michael Argir brings a deep understanding of the healthcare facilities management industry
and nearly 25 years of leadership experience to Medxcel, having served in a variety of
facilities-related operational and executive roles within respected healthcare organizations
throughout his career. Michael has a strong track record of building top-producing teams and
organizations that deliver optimal results with the ability to develop and build strong client
relationships. He also has a history of developing people to maximize efficiency while delivering strong operations, service quality, growth and positive financial outcomes.
Prior to joining Medxcel Michael served in leadership roles for various facilities management companies. Michael began his career working in support services at individual hospitals and truly knows what it takes to improve the healthcare environment for patients and staff.
Michael holds an Executive MBA from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a
Bachelor of Science degree from Springfield College, Springfield MA.
Vice President, Marketing
Jennefer Pursifull has more than 25 years experience as a driven marketing and sales professional. In her role as Vice President of Marketing, she drives corporate revenue growth and retention through a passionate focus on customers and the market. Jennefer oversees the vision and strategy of marketing, market growth and customer experience for Medxcel FM as the company continues aggressive growth.
Before joining Medxcel, Jennefer held various strategic, business development, product management, marketing and customer engagement roles for organizations including Roche Diagnostics, Stanley Black and Decker: Best Access, Kiwanis International, and The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis.
Jennefer holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, both from Ball State University.
Vice President, Client Services
Maureen Larkins brings more than 25 years experience creating, communicating and executing sustaining strategic business and operational initiatives. In her role as Vice President of Client Services, she is vital in ensuring client needs are met and all levels of the organization are effectively collaborating to deliver exceptional services and align client expectations and goals with Medxcel's operational teams.
Prior to joining Medxcel, Maureen served as Senior Director of Executive Special Projects/Solutions for Ascension Holdings and was previously the Vice President for Strategic and Community Affairs for Ascension Health/Daughters of Charity Services of New Orleans.
Maureen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Loyola University and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of New Orleans. She served on the board of directors for the American Red Cross Eastern Missouri and Urban League of Greater St. Louis. She is also a current member of the American College of Health Care Executives (ACHE) and the National Association of Health Services Executives (NAHSE). In addition to numerous leadership awards and speaking engagements, she has also been previously honored as a New Orleans City Business Woman of the Year and Healthcare Hero.
Chief Financial Officer
Jason Scheidler has more than 15 years experience in building value for organizations in diverse market segments.
Prior to joining Medxcel, Jason served as the senior director of accounting services for Ascension where he established the strategic direction for the accounting services function of the Ministry Service Center, defining goals and objectives that aligned with the overall strategy. Prior to his experience with Ascension, he served as controller for ADESA.
Jason earned a Bachelor of Science from Ball State University and a Masters of Professional Accountancy from Indiana University Kelly School of Business.
John brings more than 20 years of deep business and legal leadership experience in the medical management and medical finance industry.
Prior to joining Medxcel, John served as Vice President & General Counsel for American Neuroscience Investments, LLC and was previously General Counsel & Vice President of Operations for U.S. Medical Management Investments. In addition, John has held a variety of board positions including most recently at the Memphis Regional Gamma Knife Center.
John earned Bachelors' degrees in Economics and Psychology from Indiana University Purdue University, Masters' degrees in Marketing and Business Administration from Indiana University Kelley School of Business and graduated magna cum laude with a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
Chief Information Officer
JD brings more than 20 years of IT experience and leadership and has led development, delivery and support of advanced technology solutions for national and global organizations.
Prior to joining Medxcel, JD served as Eli Lilly and Company’s global IT service manager and was previously the director of enterprise IT services for Ascension Health.
JD graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree from Columbus College of Art and Design and earned his MBA graduating summa cum laude from Indiana Wesleyan University.He is also a member and participant in several industry organizations including Healthcare Information And Management Systems Society (HIMSS), College Of Healthcare Information Management Executives (Chime) and itSMF USA.
Vice President, Human Resources
Patricia Sirmon brings nearly 20 years of Human Resource experience to her role as Vice President of Human Resources for Medxcel.
In her role, Patricia is responsible for providing a strategic partnership to align business objectives, develop integrated solutions and implementation of HR shared services objectives to ensure overall business objectives are met. She also provides consultation and leadership in areas such as employee and labor relations, performance management and change management, as well as manages the associate transition process for new business implementations.
Prior to joining Medxcel, Patricia served as the Director of Labor and Employee Relations for 14 years at Genesys Health System. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University – San Marcos. In addition, Patricia holds certifications in Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR), Certified Labor Relations Professional (CLRP) and Strategic Human Resource Business Partner (S-HRBP).
Vice President of Emergency Management, Environment of Care and Safety
Scott Cormier has more than 30 years of experience in emergency preparedness, health and safety, and counterintelligence operations.
Prior to joining Medxcel, Scott served as the Senior Director of Emergency Preparedness and Management for Hospital Corporation of America (HCA), the largest private healthcare provider in the world.
Scott earned a Bachelor’s degree from Thomas Edison State College. He has been published in nearly 20 scholarly journals, and holds more than 20 professional certifications, including
Certified Healthcare Emergency Professional, Department of Homeland Security Certified Instructor, Weapons of Mass Destruction Instructor and EMT-Paramedic Instructor.
Vice President of Program Development and Facilities Compliance
Larry Lacombe has nearly 40 years of experience in facility compliance, management, engineering and maintenance. Previously he held the role of National Director, Program Management for Medxcel.
Prior to joining Medxcel, Larry owned Facility Compliance Solutions, where he consulted on issues of regulatory compliance, survey readiness and operations for healthcare organizations.
Larry is a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He is a Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager (CHFM), and also a member of the American Society of Healthcare Engineering (ASHE), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and the American Society for Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).
National Vice President, Operations
Matthew Keahey serves as National Vice President, Operations for Medxcel. In this role, Matthew oversees the implementation, quality and overall operational management of our facilities services for hospitals throughout the U.S.
Matthew has more than 20 years of experience in facilities management directing large complex facility organizations, negotiating contracts, leading sales teams and developing strong client relationships. His responsibilities include managing Medxcel’s proprietary integrated service delivery model while focusing on customer relations and strategic development.
Prior to joining Medxcel, Matthew worked for 11 years at Aramark Corporation as a Regional Director and Vice President of Facilities Services and also served as Senior Manager for 10 years at Federal Express. He graduated with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Management and Organizational Behavior and holds a Master’s in Business Administration and Strategic Management from the University of Memphis in Tennessee.
Vice President, Planning, Design & Environmental Stewardship
Dan Scher brings a deep experience in strategy and facilities with a focus on healthcare and utility industries. As Vice President of Planning, Design and Construction he is responsible for leading master planning, facility design and the Environmental Stewardship Program.
Through his experience, Dan successfully established an energy efficiency program for the largest catholic health system in the nation and served as a founding and steering committee member of the United States Department of Energy’s Hospital Energy Alliance from 2009-2012.
Prior to joining Medxcel, Dan served in a variety of roles for Numeroff Consulting, RehabCare Group, Missouri-American Water Company and Burns & McDonnell Engineering.
Dan received a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics from the University of Missouri – Columbia. He also received a Master’s in Business Administration from Washington University, St. Louis, MO.
Vice President, Construction
Mike Wood brings nearly 35 years experience of leadership with unique diverse strategic and operations experience in the healthcare sector. In his role as Vice President of Construction, Mike is responsible for the creation, direction, organization and administration of Medxcel's national construction portfolio.
Prior to joining Medxcel, Mike served as President and CEO of Impact! Consulting, LLC and held various leadership roles at Oldcastle Building Solutions and Heery International, Inc.
Mike holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and Management (BBA) from The Evergreen State College and a Masters of Science in Management and Organizational Development from Regis University. He currently serves as the President of the Association of Medical Facility Professionals and is the Immediate Past President for CAHED and IFMA Health Care Institute.
Area Vice President
Damian Skelton serves as an Area Vice President for Medxcel. In this role, Damian utilizes his vast experience in the healthcare industry to develop, implement and maintain processes which will lead Medxcel into the next decade. Damian specializes in all areas of Facilities Management including energy reduction.
Prior to joining Medxcel, Damian served as Vice President of Facilities and Real Estate at St. Thomas Health system in Nashville, TN. While in that role, his focus on energy reduction lowered overall energy consumption, reducing costly energy bills and improving patient and staff comfort. This same model is serving as the basis for the Ascension Health energy reduction initiative. Damian also specializes in the development of corporate guidelines including building Standards.
Damian holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Tulane University and a Master’s in Business from MiddleTennessee State University. In addition, Damian is a licensed
Professional Engineer (PE), and a Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM).
Area Vice President
Robert Eakin has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare, beginning as a biomedical engineer before moving into healthcare business leadership roles. Prior to joining Medxcel, Robert served as Vice President of Corporate Safety and Compliance, Vice President of Clinical Engineering Quality and Compliance, and Vice President of Facilities Management Operations for Linc Health (ABM Health/ABM Healthcare Support Services) where he developed and administered a start-up healthcare facility management outsourcing initiative. He also served in leadership roles at Four Rivers Software, Triad Hospitals and BSA Health System.
Robert earned a Master’s in Healthcare Administration from Suffield University, a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Suffield University and an Associate’s from Amarillo College. He is an internationally certified biomedical electronics technician, President of the Top of Texas Biomed Society and a board member for the Texas Association of Healthcare Facilities Management (TAHFM). He was also named AISD HOCA “Healthcare Professional of the Year”.
Area Vice President
Eric Waller serves as Area Vice President for Medxcel. With more than 20 years of experience in the industry, Eric has led the facilities management teams of more than 20 hospitals in Central and Southern Indiana. In his role, Eric manages Medxcel's proprietary integrated service delivery model while also focusing on customer relations and strategic development.
As a seasoned facilities management, construction, and emergency services leader, Eric has a proven track record of evaluating and implementing process improvement that streamlines operations and leads to increased regulatory compliance. Previously, Eric served as a Regional Director of Facilities for Medxcel and held positions with Providence Health and Via Christi Health System.
Eric earned an Associate's Degree in Fire Science from Clatsop Community College and is completing his Bachelor's Degree in Management - Leadership from John F. Kennedy University. He has several industry certifications including: Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM), Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC), and Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP).
Area Vice President
Michael Burgett brings 20 years of leadership experience in the healthcare arena in North America where he has held positions in construction and design, site selection, facilities management, capital equipment sales and both operational and customer development.
Prior to joining Medxcel, Michael held senior leadership roles for three healthcare companies; BD (formerly CareFusion and International Dispensing Solutions), GE Healthcare and Mindray Medical International. He has demonstrated operational excellence and has been recognized and awarded on multiple occasions for lowest percentage of employee turnover, highest profitability and developing tools to help manage the customer relationship.
Michael earned a Bachelors' and Masters of Public Administration from Ball State University as well as a Masters of Business Administration from Indiana University. He holds professional licensing from the American Hospital Association as a Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager (CHFM) and is a licensed real estate Broker in Alabama, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Indiana and Massachusetts for Real Estate Brokerage. Michael also serves on numerous 501c3 boards throughout North America.
