Medxcel Awarded "Elite 8" Designation from Achievers' 50 Most Engaged Workplaces
It’s an honor for Medxcel to be recognized for our corporate culture, and we are proud to have been recognized as one of the nation’s most engaged workplaces through the Achievers 50 Most Engaged Workplaces™ in North America award for the third year in a row.
Alongside the 49 other award recipients, we were recognized at the 50 Most Engaged Gala on Oct. 22 in Toronto where we waited to learn who would be named to the “Elite 8” of the
Achievers. Designated on behalf of the eight criteria by which applicants are scored, the Elite 8 are the best of the best in the following categories: Leadership, Communication, Culture, Rewards and Recognition, Professional and Personal Growth, Accountability and Performance, Vision and Values, and Corporate Social Responsibility.
We are thrilled to share Medxcel was awarded the Elite 8 designation in the category of Corporate Social Responsibility! This means a great deal to us. Whether it’s our social responsibility to our associates, our clients, our communities or making a global impact, Medxcel continues to strive to make a difference – it’s ingrained in our DNA.
Associates investing in associates is the baseline for what builds great teams at Medxcel. A landscaping associate indicated that he wished he could offer a morning reflection but shared he couldn’t read. His manager and team set out on a mission to teach him, and he’s now reading and able to share daily reflections.
Summer 2017 was plagued by a series of violent hurricanes in the US Southeast, which touched our associates, our clients and the communities Medxcel serves. Many of our senior leaders and associates from across the nation rushed to our affected facilities. These teams joined efforts to not only keep our medical facilities and hospitals operational throughout the entire weather event, they allowed local associates to go home and take care of the needs of their families.
Medxcel’s Energy Program has helped our clients reduce energy consumption by 21.4 percent, saving $53.3 million as a result. This is a win for both the environment and the financial health of our clients. Medxcel’s Green Teams teach associates and customers how small choices can yield big results, improving our quality of life and that of future generations.
Across the US, we host regularly scheduled blood drives, serve at-risk children by tutoring and donating necessities, send Christmas cards to active military personnel, assemble and deliver new bikes to local abuse shelters and regularly provide our employees the opportunity to partner with a global foundation and travel to impoverished nations. The list goes on…
